How to book the grass courts

Key points

• The courts are open from May to September.
• There are daily updates on the member portal on which courts are open.
• Due to daily preparation, the courts will usually be open from 11am each day.
• Please respect any “courts closed” notices and ask reception if unsure.
• Not all courts will be open every day. Sometimes they might not open until later in the day, for example due to damp conditions.

Booking in advance on the portal

• You can book courts 23 to 27 two weeks in advance on the member portal.
• Sessions are the same as for other courts: 30, 60 or 90 minutes, £2 per 30-minute session.
• The refund policy is the same as the other courts.
• You can also add participants or cancel your booking.
• If a booked court is unplayable, reception will call you on the day and you’ll still receive a refund.

Booking on the day

• The other grass courts (18 to 21) will be available on the day, as usual, and can be booked on the member portal from 9:30am or by calling reception on 01242 230562. They will book you onto the portal if those courts are open.
• There is no charge for on the day bookings and once made you can cancel on the portal.
• Priority is given to those that have booked in advance.
• This system allows the grounds team to keep on top of grass court maintenance.
