East Glos is awarded prestigious LTA Youth Recognised Venue Status
East Glos is proud to have been awarded Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Youth Recognised Venue status. The club is the only venue in Gloucestershire to hold this prestigious status.
To achieve its status as an LTA Youth Recognised Venue, East Glos demonstrated its commitment to delivering an excellent junior programme that offers high-quality coaching and regular competitive opportunities for young players.
Under the LTA Youth banner, East Glos runs junior tennis coaching all year round, helping children enjoy the benefits of playing and staying in tennis, regardless of age, gender, ability, impairment or background.
Through its team of 12 LTA-qualified coaches, East Glos offers over 100 weekly junior coaching sessions enjoyed by over 400 children.

East Glos rackets manager Steve Worsley said, “This award represents the tennis coaching team’s hard work, dedication and skill in delivering what has become one of the biggest coaching programmes in the UK. Through many years of development, the programme has grown in both numbers and quality of content, therefore, our coaches deserve great credit for helping the club achieve this status. We are proud to be the only club in the county holding this status and look forward to working with the LTA to continue improving in the future”.
LTA CEO Scott Lloyd said, “The East Glos LTA Youth programme is a credit to both the LTA and tennis in Britain, and you should be proud of achieving this status.”
