East Glos wins major national award
East Glos is proud to have won Club of the Year at the National LTA Awards held at the National Tennis Centre on 16th April 2026.
The LTA Awards, presented by Lexus, shine a light on the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals and organisations across Great Britain.
Attending the ceremony for East Glos were Bob Barker, Peter Mitchener, Darren Morris and John King, pictured below with LTA CEO Scott Lloyd, who presented the award.
The club’s shortlisting was for outstanding growth, innovation, and contributions to the community impact of Gloucestershire tennis and padel.
Club manager Darren Morris and club president John King said: “We’re honoured to receive the award on behalf of all the members, volunteers, committees, staff and coaches of East Glos. Being selected as the national winner from over 300 nominations highlights what an amazing club we have. So proud”.
Congratulations also to the other finalists: Lymm LTC, Penzance Tennis Club, Tennis World & Middlesbrough Padel Club and Wargrave Tennis Club.
The club was also proud to be a finalist for the Protect Where We Play Award, which was won by The West Worthing Club. Congratulations to them.
